Step into any of our dining locations on campus and you’ll notice a wide variety of healthy and delicious foods prepared by our chefs and sourced from local vendors. The Bobcat Café is an all-you-care to eat dining facility including: J. Clarkes Grille, Bravo! Green Scene, scratch made soups and desserts, just to name a few.
Don’t feel like dinning at the café? Eat and vibe at the Rathskellar or Einstein Bros Bagel which is conveniently located in the STU library and offer gourmet coffee, bagels, pastries, and sandwich options throughout the day.
WHAT IS A MEAL PLAN?
A meal plan is a pre-paid account for your on-campus meals. You pay for all the meals you’ll eat in dining facilities at the beginning of each semester. You’ll then swipe your student ID every time you enter a dining area, and the value of your meal will be deducted from your account. At STU, having a meal plan is mandatory for all undergraduates that live in the residential halls.
MEAL OPTIONS AND COST
Students typically worry about the “freshman 15,” but eating at college also can make some things lighter — such as your bank account. STU provides students with flexible meal options to match their busy schedules. Missed the café today? No worries! Your meal plans come with Flex Dollars, which are used in place of cash for those times when you may have to miss a scheduled meal. Flex Dollars can be used at the Rathskellar or Einstein Bros Bagels.

The following meal plans can be purchased at the Bobcat Café.
DINE OR GRAB A BOX TO GO!
At Bobcat Café, students have the options of either dinning in the lobby or taking a to-go box that comes with a complimentary cup filled with their favorite foods and beverage. If a student would like a to-go box and or cup after dinning, there will be an additional cost.
CAN I USE MY MEAL PLAN TO PAY FOR MY GUEST(S)?
Absolutely, one advantage of having a meal plan is that students can also use their Flex to pay for their guest’s meal. If not, guests can also use cash or cards to eat in dining areas. If you do not wish for a meal to go to waste due to your absence, you can donate your meal swipe to another person.
